About us
A place for women with triple negative breast cancer to share information. Our Story
Im a 34 year old mum of 3 who recently was diagnosed with BC. To add to that we discovered there was no hormonal involvement, hence the triple negative status. There is not alot of information out there in regards to TNBC, so I thought a group just for us would be a nice way to share our ups and downs, and show support for each other along the 'journey'.
My Chemo Cocktail
Hi Ladies,
Well, I've have my oncologist appointment and I'll be on chemo a little longer than I was expecting. I start on 25th June.
I'm starting with Doxorubicin & Cyclophosphamide, once every 3 weeks for 12 weeks. Then I move into Paclitaxel once a weeks for 12 weeks. After that, I get a couple of weeks off then into radiation 5 days a weeks for 6 weeks.....BUSY!!!!
I will be tested for BRCA1 & BRCA2 on my 1st day of chemo. If I come back positive, I've already decided to have the double mastactomy & reconstruction.
TBCN stage, BRC genetics
Hello this blog user,
Our doctor has not asked to do BRC1 & BRC2 genetics test? However I read, it is very important to do with the TNBC. What would it change if the results are positive?
Newly Diagnosed
Hi Ladies, My name is Sam. I've been married 16years.I'm a mum to Josh 14 & Jade 6.
I'm very fortunate to have everything move very quickly so far. GP told me it was caner last Tuesday, saw my surgeon on Wednesday (Dr Norman Janu) & managed to have surgery on Thursday. I have stage 2-3 TNBC.
Recently diagnosed triple neg *sob*
Hi I hope I'm in the right area. Im a mum to a 5 yr old girl
i was diagnosed in April with triple neg BC. Im stage 1 with no nodes involved. Had lumpectomy.
I'm scared out of my wits. I can't stop googling about it and what I read scares me. My surgeon, who specialise in breast cancer, says I have nothing to worry about. Yet I don't know why he's being so optimistic because from what I've been reading triple negative can come back/reoccur.
Radiotherapy and dizziness
Hi, my diagnosis was TN BC I just put a post up on the e general blog site, so not sure if I'm doubling up!
I am in my fourth and final week of radiotherapy which is fantastic. However since the sixth treatment have been experiencing full on dizziness, had lots of tests for this which have come up clear. It is pretty distressing. Did/is anyone experiencing similar issue? Thanks, Tam.
