About us
Western Sydney Group providing monthly meetings and online support. Our Story
New support group trying to be established in Western Sydney for women with advanced breast cancer. Meetings are on the 3rd Sunday of the month at Quakers Hill Inn where people can sit and chat over a coffee. We would also like to start a facebook page or msn group for online purposes. Other areas for thought include outings, lunches and dinners with partners. Anyone interested please register here or by emailing Cherie at ritelite@hotmail.com
Boney mets
Hi everyone. I am trying to get on an advanced or mets breast cancer blog site. I am no IT expert . I come from queenlands and this site looks like it is a western sydney site. Can I be on this site or it is specifically for you guys. I am not sure where else to go to get something closer to home. Would appreciate any help. Many thanks,
Donna
Result's- should i be worried?
Hello
Hi Everyone,
I have just joined the group and wanted to introduce myself.
Im 56 years of age and was diagnosed with secondary breast cancer (bone metastises) in November 2011. Previous to this i was diagnosed with two lots of different breast cancer and treatment consisted of a double masectomy, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and hormonal therapy tablets.
I am still learning how to deal and cope with the diagnosis of "Secondary Breast Cancer" which is why i have joined this group to meet and talk with people who are in a similar situation.
My Story
Hi, everyone just introducing myself. I have created this group for the benefit of women in the western Sydney area. I have advanced breast cancer and have mets down my spine, ribs, hip even one in my right toe and one on the top of my head. My ribs are painful sometimes when I take a deep breath in or lie on something hard. But I cope with it and its really not that bad. My last scan showed that I was "stable"… . I wasn't going to do the whole "This is my story thing" on here ... .
