Thank you for your support!
Congratulations to everyone who participated in the The Sun-Herald City2Surf presented by Westpac on Sunday 14 August. It was a fantastic day with a record breaking 85,000 people participating in the 14km run, cementing the City2Surf’s place as the world’s largest run.
Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) was one of only 20 charities to secure special Golden Charity Places for City2Surf. Our Golden Charity Runners ran in the highly sought after Sun-Herald (Red) elite group in the first wave start, after obtaining their entry with a $250 deposit and committing to raise a minimum of $750.
In addition to our Golden Charity Runners there were also many other City2Surf participants who fundraised for BCNA. In total there were over 63 individuals and teams who raised over $17,820 for BCNA. A fantastic result!
BCNA staff were thrilled to be able to meet many of our fundraisers after the event and thank them for their extraordinary efforts in competing in the event and fundraising for BCNA. There was a fantastic atmosphere on Sunday (despite the early rain!) with lots of participants ‘pinked up’ for the event.
A special thank you to The Sun-Herald City2Surf presented by Westpac, and to all of the participants who ran and fundraised for BCNA. We are very grateful for your support and hope to see you at the event again next year!
