Community Liaison Training Program

To represent BCNA effectively and feel secure in your involvement as a Community Liaison BCNA provides a one day training program. This training ensures you have a thorough understanding of BCNA , spanning our programs, priority areas and events. Because Community Liaisons represent their own personal experience of breast cancer the training program also helps you present your story to various audiences.

"I actually feel privileged to have travelled a road that now enables me to be a BCNA Community Liaison representing an organisation whose work I am very grateful for. Having been diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006 others know that we speak from experience and probably understand the journey that their loved one, friend or they themselves are on." Jillian Lawrow, VIC

The one day training session is run across Australia by BCNA staff. There are a limited number of spaces for each training program.

Further training opportunities may be available for Community Liaisons who are interested in participating as an Advocate.

Training held in 2008

We held Community Liaison Training for:

New South Wales (Sydney) - Thursday 13 March 2008

Queensland (Brisbane) - Friday 22 August 2008

Future training

Across Australia - We plan to offer training opportunities across Australia in the near future.

Those who have expressed interested in being trained as a Community Liaison will be contacted as training is organised. To express your interest please fill in the application form.
