BCNA and beyondblue Launch - The Depression and Breast Cancer Fact Sheet
On Monday 8th December at the MCG in Melbourne, BCNA and beyondblue: the national depression initiative launched a new fact sheet for women with breast cancer - The Depression and Breast Cancer Fact Sheet.
Raelene Boyle, Olympian, BCNA Board Member and breast cancer survivor talked about her experience with depression to give hope to others living with the condition.
There was some sad news on the day however, at the time we were launching the new Fact Sheet, the news came through that Kerryn McCann, a well loved athlete and mother of three, had sadly passed away from breast cancer.
Both Raelene Boyle and Lyn Swinburne, BCNA CEO, addressed the media throughout the day to pass on their condolences to the McCann family and talk about her life.

Melbourne and Sydney Memorial Services
Sunday 5th October saw BCNA, National Breast Cancer Foundation and National Breast and Ovarian Cancer Centre hold Memorial Services for women, and their families, affected by breast cancer, in Sydney and Melbourne.
The services were a great success with many commenting on how meaningful and sensitive they were. Attendees were encouraged to leave a message of support to a loved one on the tribute tree at the front of each church.
